When doing a day tour, there are always some things included that aren't your cup of tea. And so I tried selecting the best day tour that would fit my interest. But since it is low season, I was the only person that signed up for that. As a result, they moved me to a different tour, like they often do.
And so, suddenly, sandboarding became part of the itinerary. I didn't care about this sand boarding stuff at all!
After a long day, we arrived at the Lancelin Sand Dunes. They looked amazing! White sand everywhere! There were two options for activities. Either we joined the massive 4WD bus that would drive the dunes. Or we would grab a board and do some boarding.
And so I ended up having fun after all. It was hard work walking up the dunes every time. And it wasn't as easy as it looked (holding a GoPro while doing it might have been a complicating factor).
At some point, I had sand everywhere and then the 4WD returned. Maybe it would be nice to just join the bus and see a little more of the dunes. I was allowed to sit in the front seat and so I could stick my GoPro to the window. I am glad I have that footage, but it sometimes felt like a miracle that we didn't roll over with that bus!!
