The death of a fallen comrade is always one of the hardest parts of war to deal with. These courageous brothers (and sisters) in arms were as much a cherished part of any unit as the brave men and women who served and their passing was as difficult. Lamentably, our government didn't share our sentiments. As far as they were concerned, our brave four-legged comrades could lay where they fell... it was up to us to see that they were laid to rest with at least some of the dignity they deserved. This post is dedicated to them!

May God bless and keep them all... They served with honor and distinction!
