In these days, there are more cultural events in my city: reading, poetry, concerts, etc
This morning, in this Sunday full of Sun and awesome spring scents, I was into our Fortress of Santa Barbara (Pistoia, Italy) to listen some poems and some concerts. This fortress was built starting from 1549 by order of Cosimo I de’ Medici and it's a really beautiful scenario for cultural events!
It seems to be in the ancient age, this Forte saw more and more stories and you can feel the history in its walls and in the ancient towers.
This Forte is placed at a corner of the city's walls and it has a quadrilateral bastions. There aren't decorative things or similar because the architecture has military criteria.
Inside the fortress we can see walkways, drains, ditches and suggestive stone curtains.
