I just love exploring the outdoors and about 10km north of me is the Bow River, and a series of small creeks and steep banks with a couple of public parks for access as well. I've done a lot of Parkour training so movement in varying environments is something I really enjoy, even if its not the mountains, since that would be my favorite destination.
Here is a series exploring the river valley on my trusty mountain unicycle and on foot for some fun jumping around!
Unfortunately a lot of the banks are still pretty muddy and swelly from spring waters, but some sections were hard enough to take up the challenge and try some riding. There is very little real trails here, so I get to offroad it for the most part. Good though, just the way I like it.
Here is a clip of a short tree run, its much steeper than it looks, but that is normal for video, hard to show the real terrain.
Some river time panoramas.
The whole valley here in a panorama, you can see some of the lower banks animal trails even.
Still some snow in patches, this one is shaded all day from the thick trees so just finishing its melt.
And after climbing back up, its a good time for a sit (unfortunately it was on an anthill I didn't realize) but a quiet relaxing spot for some photos and peaceful surroundings.
That it, I hoped you enjoyed this short photo series!
