Flawless Scoring

The flawlessly scored, delicious pork roast,
At times is cooked once it’s seasoned with jerk.
So please raise your glass, and let’s make a toast
To the culinary artists, we applaud your fine work.

The flawless scoring of a roast requires skill,
With just enough pressure applied for the score.
Some will get lucky, while some never will,
Once scoring is mastered, it remains evermore.

Though exotic seasonings make flavors adjust
However you season, it must be cooked well.
Use salt and some pepper for spice if you must.
Too raw, and the parasites can make your life Hell.

Roast twenty to twenty five minutes per pound,
At the end we can sear it, if that’s what we choose.
Three hundred and fifty degrees is quite sound.
It shall have many flavors; no one can refuse.

Slice up the cooked roast, thick slices and thin,
For some will eat more meat while others eat less.
With gravy or sauces to dip the meat in,
Our culinary artists work with charm and finesse.

When the dinner is over and guests are departing,
They’ll savor the great meal that they were served.
If beans were a side dish there may be some farting,
From the gaseous buildup, concealed and conserved.
