Well, it's not long now until that special day that comes along every four years. I find it amusing to watch these people get all excited for it, like if their person gets elected things are magically going to become better overnight! They actually believe the 'promises' that are mentioned during the campaign are going to be upheld. No, my friends, they were said to get them elected - nothing more.
Anyways, I believe these two main party candidates are the worst of all time. I greatly dislike both of them. But people seemed to like my last poem and requested more, so here is one!
The Next President
Truthful, but for lying – honest, but for stealing.
Did one day happen, very much by chance,
To all of a sudden fall into a remarkable trance!
In which she saw interns that are good planners.
Making and placing many signs and banners.
When she got closer to look, what did they tell?
That her opponent was the devil, sent straight from hell!
She would become the next president, that was her decision!
There was only one problem to this highest ambition.
Her past had been scandalous, such a corrupt politician!
So her history was rewritten to the best possible translation.
In this new life she had shown great reformation.
She had acted well mannered, and talked very meekly.
Apparently helping the poor and attending church weekly!
Whisked swiftly across the land from north to south, east to west.
She bamboozled the crowds wearing $12,000 jackets.
Attained from having her fingers in numerous rackets.
But now she vowed to shun Wall Street and company unruly.
And she said as much in her speeches, spoke these words truly!
This caused her, at times, to forget her fake zeal.
Occasionally a bribe became so especially large.
When that happened, to her foundation it was charged!
If a contributor was a generous enough donor,
It meant that they now effectively owned her!
She relaxed now, was so ready for gloating.
Powers that be had already decided it was she.
The nation tuned in that night to watch it on T.V.
The White House was again set for its once previous resident.
Ladies and gentlemen, Hillary Clinton - the next president!
