Separated by White Pickets

A hand beckons,
Her smile kind,
White pickets between us,
Barriers a farce...

Showers descend,
Grey gloom torments,
Hair dripping, saturated,
Discomfort an illusion...

Her smile returned,
Decorum ignored,
Eternity comes and goes,
Beyond forever...

Time does not exist,
Reality our own,
As one beneath the falls,
Our lips meet...

This is a poem written in #fiftywords for @jayna's fifty word challenge this week! The prompt is fence... I didn't use the word 'fence' in the poem, but I like to think that the use of 'barrier' and 'white pickets' serves just as well. :)
