Dedicated to these beautiful winter months to come already knocking on our doors.
Winterly spark
When days are getting dark
where do we get the spark?
What will light up our way
during another stormy day?
Sun´s not raising much
anymore
when such
times come to the fore.
Minds will freeze as well
in their summer shell
and our mood
will turn winterly rude.
Beach time´s over,
no living in clover,
no shoes without socks,
no pool party rocks.
It´s tea time my mate,
cause we are quite late.
The year comes to an end
and will send
us some warm regards
on ugly Christmas cards.
'Same procedure as every year'
and I swear
I love Miss Sophie still
and will
drink too much as well
during this winter holiday hell.
Winter days awake
being under a spell
by the smell
of another cinnamon cake.
And they fall asleep
while candle lights keep
them safe
in their homey cave.
And while we play a round of chess
at the fireside´s glow
I truly don´t know
what whish to address.
Oh holy times of those
could you always be that close?
No day would ever turn dark
when lighted by winterly spark.
This poem is my personal dedication of love to winter months. I totally love them! When days are growing shorter, people move close together and life gets very intense. Winter is family time - time to show love and appreciate what we have.
