Searching for the One (original poetry) (Poetry Dice 3000 Week 6)

Constantly calculating and computing the chances,
How many fish in the sea are worth second glances?
I jumped in as fast as I could and started seeking,
Turns out I was looking too closely, I was peeking.
I never really learned how to track all those fishes,
I needed a genie, searching for the one was vicious.
I made a wish for her, but I messed up my wording,
All this new found knowledge I must start herding.
A light clicked on and I got a positive identification,
My compass pointed at me, I checked triangulation.
The arrow is standing still and it always points to me,
Turns out I was the one and I needed a mirror to see.
