So Trump won the elections, what effects will this have on the economy and on society in general. In this article I will briefly tell you my predictions what effects will this bring.
1) Stock market
I think a stock market crash is now imminent, as we seen with Brexit, people and investors don't like uncertain situations, and they often sell in panic. The British Pound tanked hard after Brexit, and so could the US. stock market.
2) Dollar
I think the dollar could crash too, but this is not that imminent in my opinion. Since Trump's immigration policy would cut off a large piece of the remittance market, not to talk about banking business with China, I think a lot of banks both in the US and China would view this negatively, so a weakened dollar is pretty likely. Not to mention Trump would hardly reduce the US debt, and would probably inflate it away, so the dollar is in a rough ride any ways.
3) Bitcoin
Bitcoin will probably go up, but it would go up even if Clinton would have won. Make no mistake about it, either candidates would introduce a lot of panic in the global economy, and Bitcoin is technically a hedge against political and economic catastrophe. The era of fiat fractional reserve banking has made the global economy very weak, so no matter who is president, Bitcoin will only benefit from it.
4) Privacy
Surveillance will be expanded, guaranteed. So say goodbye to your privacy, neither candidates would have cared about it, but Trump indicated a budged increase in surveillance.
5) Freedom
Freedom will diminish. Yeah maybe you will get some tax cuts and regulation cuts here and there, but overall you will lose more and more freedoms. You can't do the things Trump promised to do without increasing the government even more. Trump is not a libertarian, and the increased military spending he was talking about is quite worrysome.
