Beware, inflammatory political post follows. You don't have to agree with me. YMMV.
I didn't really lend credence to the whole "liberal media bias" thing until they seemingly somehow convinced people that leaking factual information is legitimately labelled as a "foreign government [trying] to impact the integrity of our elections" (—Obama) and that good/improved relations between two of the world's largest nuclear superpowers is somehow a bad thing... simply because "Russia".
Then again, I shouldn't be surprised. They did the same thing trying to frame Snowden and Manning as criminals, too. (One of whom is only alive because of Russia and the FSB. Remember when the USA were the good guys?)
Beware anyone who actively opposes a more informed electorate, including Obama (who seems to actually be preparing for some sort of war action, be it via IP or IRL). It's also quite worth noting that it was his administration that tortured Manning for exposing war crimes (after Obama personally declared her guilt before trial) and has illegally detained Assange (both incidents having been recognized by the UN as illegal violations of their human rights), so I'm not sure why I'm surprised anymore. Perhaps your collective appreciation for the mass drone murderer Obama has rubbed off on me.
I'm having a real hard time seeing these accused "Russian hackers" as the bad guys here (regardless of who they may be or what country they may be from), no matter how many times "foreign" and "election" are thrown around in the same headline. They did a lot more digging around the corrupt DNC than our domestic media did.
