I just learned about the #portraitcontest from one of @tristanoliff's recent posts so I thought I would enter one of my pictures in it also. The contest is being put on by @jasonrussell and this week is judged by @astridschulz.
The photo I chose is from my trip to Tanzania. The woman worked at an orphanage and she brought us out in the bush to visit the sweetest 90 year old lady in the world. The older woman had adopted a young boy about 20 years ago that would have died if she hadn't adopted him. You can read the story of my whole experience about that day here:

I am choosing this picture as my entry for the contest because 99% of my portrait photography is done with natural lighting and I really liked how the gave a nice rim around her separating her from the background and the bokeh makes it look as magical as being in Africa feels.
