The season 3 premiere of "Black Mirror" shows us a possible future where all of society revolves around constant "rating" of every social interaction.
These ratings determine your overall reputation level within society , and can have immediate and drastic consequences.
This story follows the journey of "Lacie"- a young woman desperate to rank up her 4.243 reputation in order to qualify for her "dream home" in an exclusive high-reputation community.
Charlie Booker weaves plenty of deeper commentaries on human psychology, social responsibilities and the Chilling Effect all throughout the episode.
The near-future world he creates is far too realistic and almost probable given todays social media trends and the incentivization to portray a fake/perfect public persona.
A lot of what is portrayed in this episode feels like the natural consequence of our current path, a self policing society where any citizens that stray from the mainstream are penalized.

The episode gets progressively darker as it continues to reveal what is essentially the perfect control system for society.
Look at what China is already doing now with their "Social Credit System" if you don't believe it could happen in our world - it already is.
This is especially relevant to Steemians in ways that will become obvious once you see it.
