Background context
Like I alluded in my last #downtherabbithole , I've had a long journey to get where I am today.
I've had this insatiable thirst for knowledge since I was a kid, starting by dissasembling everything I could, then rebuilding and hacking hardware together - constantly escalating until a pivotal moment in my early teens when I first managed to get a salvaged 14.4k modem to dial into my local university..

The first time I managed to make my hacked-together ghetto box connect to the outside world, changed everything.
This was where my little world suddenly expanded around the globe. The early days of phone phreaking were very interesting (I heard), and Bulletin Board Systems like Pacific Island and Zen were thriving communities of like-minded people that gave zero fucks about A/S/L . They enabled rapid learning and sharing of "secret" knowledge and code for all sorts of fascinating things. Allegedly.
I might have done some shady things to feed my escalating data addiction over the years.
But this isn't really meant to be a story about all that ...
Over the years I've joined and started countless niche sites and communities for different causes that interested me , and have made a lot of neat connections along the way. I've explored niches of philosophy, anarchism and libertarianism, various flavours/shades of political activism and straight up hacktivism. Musicians, writers, politicians and even black ops military contactors have become available to me over the years for various reasons.
My recent addiction to steem and excitement about its potential has me shilling like I haven't done since I first caught the bitcoin-bug. I really want this platform to succeed and reach its full potential.
I've been going back through my address books and phone and shortlisting the nicest overall people that I want to see have more success in their endeavours.
I'm not going for the "biggest" celebrities - I want quality content NOT more rich airheads.

Yesterday my mate @dcfisher joined and posted some of his amazing artwork and got some great feedback - but I feel it may be overlooked and undervalued in the neverending firehose of new posts. Please check these out and show some love - to see thousands of dollars being thrown at ms-paint comics whilst this gets ignored is embarrassing for steemit IMO.

I've been a massive fan of hugo ever since the beginning of Rap News. If you haven't discovered this genius yet you've really missed out.
I'm in the process of helping him get up to speed on steemit, as his current home has no internet access.
This hasn't stopped him recording and regularly blowing minds with his lyrical genius :)
Hugo has done videos with so many amazing people (like Julian Assange) and I'm so stoked to be able to help this guy in any way I can.
