Gollum snapshot filtered down to 8380 names [+ Security Recommendation]

I know, I'm a few days late with this news - but I think its worth repeating in case others missed it.

WTF is gollum ? - As I mentioned in my previous ausbitundercover post about Marks Network , I'm only going to refer to Steemits competitors with nicknames from now on. Sorry if this gets confusing :P

A snapshot has been taken of the Steem blockchain at Thu, 29 Sep 2016 12:00:00 GMT , and there are 8380 steemit usernames that qualify for the "sharedrop".

The conditions of selection were ( steem power > 7 and curation rewards > 0 ) or steem power > 100

I took the 10mb json snapshot file provided by the devs, filtered it down an 80kb list of account names and rehosted on github pastebin .

You can use control-f to search for your username on the page above.

I know this project is popular with some, but I'm still not sold on the idea of splitting the blockchain and community over what I see as a user interface issue..

Even more disturbing to me is the knowledge that up to 8k steemians will rush to type their steemit login to a brand new russian site so they can claim their free gollum points :(

I recommend: You should backup your current private keys and passwords for access to Gollum - and then change your steemit account password and key BEFORE you log into gollum.

Just be sure your backup solution really works !

Trust me - losing your own keys feels even worse then being "hacked" because you gave them to a stranger on purpose ;)

Thats it from me - a list of users, a quick rant and a security recommendation - I'm back to working on making the steem subreddit great again!
