@acidyo put out a call for help moderating and restyling the steemit subreddit yesterday, so I had a go at updating the default theme to look more like steemit :)

Lots of tweaking has been done - if anyone wants to help with anything I missed please see this github gist this link for the stylesheet as of right now. I also made a separate private subreddit specifically for tweaking the theme where I can invite anyone interested in helping - just let me know your reddit username :)
We still really need a good list of resources and content for the sidebar , and we also have the option to cycle up to 50 randomized text snippets that we could use for random steemit memes and quotes for example.
@acidyo is still looking for 1 more moderator for the subreddit - contact him on steemit.chat for details.
