I'd like to start using some of the funds I'm making on steemit to encourage great content creators.
It would be easier if patreon accepted crypto payments - since I currently have to cash out to AUD and then send the money back via a CC in USD . I'm wary to commit more up front until I see how this process works in practice and how much I'm actually going to be charged in AUD.
Over time I will continue to add more creators to my list, and if things continue to go well I'll slowly ramp up the amounts I'm pledging.

My initial pledges will start as minimal amounts for @titusfrost and @hugothepoet - both awesome content creators that I want to see more of.
- @titusfrost is still building a following on patreon, working towards full time journalism.
More info on his patreon page. - @hugothepoet is an lyrical genius from Australia who I can't recommend enough .

I feel like this is the least I could do - Even though I've worked hard for a long time to gain the following I have I still get this weird guilty feeling when my posts get $40+ and others struggle to get traction. I've been looking for ways I can pay-it-forward with a portion of my earnings.
My initial $1 is nothing - a small drop, but you know what they say :
My
lifepledge amounts to no more than one drop in a limitless ocean. Yet what is any ocean, but a multitude of drops ?

Hopefully others can join me - consider pledging a portion of your steemit rewards to encourage other creators :)

It also occurs to me that we could effectively replace Patreon within Steemit itself.
Not only do we have a way to pay with votes but we could potentially set up a service to send regular Steem or SBD payments as well!
Questions
- Is there interest in a service for people to setup up automated pledge payments within steemit ?
- If so, would you prefer to leave a balance with the service for this purpose, or would you prefer it to be styled as a reminder service with manual payment authorization each time?
- Do you currently support any patreon users ? Who ? Give them a plug!
BTW - I'm not trying to claim this idea and I'm not committing to creating this service (yet).
If someone else wants to take the idea and run with it, go nuts - but obviously I'd prefer a known/trusted member of the community to be running this sort of service.
Please, let me know your thoughts!
