Today I get to pick my own prompt and taking the chance I flicked the screen down and went with what my finger stopped it at first.

“Hardboiled Minds”

People set in their ways, already having a fully cooked idea stuck within their heads.

Let’s think of the inners of an egg as the idea and the shell as your consciousness. When I say stuck it’s because their consciousness is now to thick to allow ideas in or out without remaining a cracked shell around the original idea.

Breaking open your consciousness is the only way to expanding thought. Drop a raw egg and drop a hardboiled egg see what happens. The raw idea(inners) will remove itself from the consciousness(shell) and obviously cannot go back again. The fully cooked idea(hardboiled) may only crack and loose a piece or two of its consciousness(shell) restraints, the idea remains inside the now broken consciousness containing it.

Our consciousness naturally builds around the ideas it contains. We can convince ourselves of the fully cooked idea despite it being surrounded by broken constraints or we can leave our ideas raw.

Raw so they may flow freely when dropped against the fabric of reality, opening our hardboiled minds to the concept of awakened consciousness.
