Date Movie is a 2006 American romantic comedy parody film directed by Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg, produced by Paul Schiff, and written by Seltzer and Friedberg. The movie is a spoof of romantic comedies and mostly references My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Meet the Fockers, Hitch, Legally Blonde, and Bridget Jones's Diary.
Plot
The plot follows Julia Jones, an overweight woman who dreams of love and meets Grant Fockyerdoder, a British man, in her father's diner. Before they can have their dream wedding, they must meet each other's parents and survive the scheming Andy.
