The #marketfriday organised by @dswigle allows us to share cultural ideas. One culture that is often overlooked is our own. The hive community culture.
I've had the pleasure to meet 100's of Hiviens over the years and we do have a lot in common and it's not the pursuit of money. Contrary to what many non hiviens think.
Most notable is the idea that life can be better if we have an ethical approach to our dealings with each other.
Today a group of Hiviens including a few witnesses met in the northern town of Halifax. Most of us had never met before but the conversations were non stop from the get go.
Attendees:
@@@rimicane (epic travel blogger/photographer)
@onw (Ex miner and doge king)
@dandays plus 1 (In reality I'm a mess with my game face on)
@livinguktaiwan plus 1 (epic travel blogger/photographer)
@stevenwood (wordsmith looking for simple answers to share ideas)
@molometer (Videography, photography and other things that end in graphy or ology)

When you see a list of usernames like that above it means very little but when you see real people who each have their story and reasons for being in this space and who have taken the time and effort to get together from all over the world to discuss the future and the now of our blockchain you realise how much we all have in common.
All of us have different skill sets and interests which converge on and benefit Hive's further growth.
Hiviens Assemble
I jokingly challenged @livinguktaiwan to a 'blog off' on today's meetup.
You don't 'have' to do a blog Pauline. ππ
Both of us and no doubt many of you are feeling a little exhausted after the last couple of years of Covid19 restrictions and creating content believe it or not takes a lot of work sometimes it just gets to much and we need time to recharge our batteries.
@c0ff33a's small coffee roaster he's got a big one too but that's another story altogether

We spent the afternoon sampling sandwiches, cakes, fruits and @c0ff33a's coffees from all over the world and we watched a few batches of coffee beans being roasted in between chatting about blockchain developments.
Checking the coffee roast colour
Fascinating to watch and learn something new about the whole process.
Coffee roasted to perfectionπ
A big thank you to @shanibeer and @c0ff33a for organising this meetup.
It was great to meet you all.
Believe it or not this meetup represents approximately 10% of the #teamuk cohort. Looking forward to #hivefest in Amsterdam. π€―π
