Green Tea:
Himalayan Green Tea
Originating in China, green tea has been cultivated for thousands of years. I love green tea. I drink a cup every day. I also love trying the many different varieties, which indicate where and how the leaves were grown and harvested. The green teas I drink have much less caffeine than coffee or black tea. I think that's true of all green teas, but I could be wrong.
Green tea is infamous for it's many health benefits. These include:
- anti-aging: it's antioxidants neutralize the free radicals that age the body
- boost immune system
- prevent cancer
- reduces cholesterol / controls diabetes
- helps in weight loss
- detoxes body
- boost stamina
Why is green tea so healthy?
Green tea's health benefits are due to the fact that it is harvested when it's antioxidant content is at it's peak. The leave then go through a minimal amount of processing. This technique allows the leaves to retain those important antioxidants.
