Changing a bit from the animal themed posts, decided to share a national landscape for this week's Qurator's Photo Friday contest!
This photo was taken in a nature trail called Passadiços do Paiva. The Paiva river runs in the north of Portugal, near Arouca, and a few years ago a walking trail of around 8km was made, following the river's margin.
The trail does have some tough staircases, and it's not circular, but you can enter halfway and in the peak tourist season, transport to the starting point can be arranged. My advice? Do it back and forth, because the view throughout the trail is lovely! Especially if you got the weather conditions I did: not hot, but also not cold, and with a faint mist making the river ever cooler!
