Those who follow me know that I'm commuting every day to work. One way for me to pass the time is to write blog posts on Steemit using either my iPhone or (recently) a laptop using the iPhone's mobile internet through the Personal Hotspot feature. One thing I have been using for a while is to name my iPhone to display a message to other users when they are trying to find an available WIFI network.
Let me explain. When you enable the Personal Hotspot with WIFI enabled, the iPhone uses your iPhone's name as the name of the WIFI network it is creating. The cool thing is that you can change that name to almost anything you want. That also mean you can name it to the address of your website. For example, until today, whenever you are in the same room or train carriage as me, you could see my WIFI network called thelittlewormfarm.com. Today I decided to try and change it to Blogging on steemit.com/@quochuy and it did work! Here is what my laptop can see when scanning for nearby WIFI networks:
I took that screenshot this morning, what triggered me to make the change in my iPhone's name is the funny WIFI network NSW GOV Are Watching You 🤣. I thought, "hmmm, would the / and @ signs be allowed", well, they are!

Costs nothing, might not be highly effective, but if it can get few people taking a look at what Steem/Steemit is then it's a winner!

Password and Private Keys security
You all know that your Steem password is the access to all your STEEM, SBD, posting, transferring, everything... right?
So, please, follow these simple steps and keep yourself safe:
- Apart from the initial setup of your account, NEVER use your password ANYWHERE, if stolen, it will give full control to your Steem account.
- Backup your password and keep it somewhere safe. Use a password manager like Lastpass, print it on paper and put it in a safe (no kidding). If you forget your password, no one can help you out.
- To login for creating content and curating, use your Private Posting Key
- To make transfers and account operations, use your Private Active Key
- To encrypt and decrypt memos, use your Private Memo Key
