First week in the farm

It's not been even a whole week and it seems I landed here a month ago. We have been improving quite a bit but I keep doing three or four short trips to town every day to get tools and stuff we need. The picture above shows the outdoor kitchen setup. My friends are sleeping in the tent at the farm and I sleep in the stable in town.

We had the construction materials delivered on Tuesday. A big truck unloaded sand, bricks, and cement which we ordered on Saturday on our way to the farm. Construction materials are slightly cheaper in Spain, plus my friend is used to brands you can find there so it was better for us to order all that stuff there.

A British friend from a German friend lent us the mixer which was a nice surprise as I will not have to purchase a new one.

We have been working in the outdoor shower. Days are quite hot here so we just fill in the plastic tank and let the sun heat the water for us. All we have to do before taking the shower is pumping some air to get pressure.

Below you can see the kitchen as we were setting it up, and me working on the computer one of the afternoons.

My friend wanted to set up a small orchard so we plan to seed some veggies.

We get the water from the well and drinking water from the village fountain. I have had the big Bluetti power bank delivered so my plan is to purchase a couple of 450Watt solar pannels to power it and get a fridge once the tiny house is finished. We are using a tiny camping fridge right now and besides being small, having to purchase ice every day is very inconvenient.
