Tonight I want to show you the drawing I made for the #Splinterlands art contest, I tried to make this girl here a long time ago but then I put it aside and saved the file although now that I decided to do it again I didn't use the same file, so I don't even know where it is, I did something new.
What I can remember about that old idea is that it was nothing like this haahhah, but well that's fine, I was going to publish this one last night but as always the electricity always bothering me, punished again, how strange.

Years ago, Mimosa was a poor shivering child, all alone in the alleys of Beluroc. She was five years old. She remembered her name, but little else. Mimosaβs parents had been vaporized before her eyes in a great battle of Witches, and she was now abandoned, an unwanted child left to fend for herself on the cold streets of a dark world.
Even as a small girl, Mimosa realized that she must find gold to buy her food, so she began to beg from passers-by. This is how she discovered her strange powers of coercion and manipulation. Mind control came quite naturally to young Mimosa, and by seven she could easily convince a wealthy Beluroc art dealer to empty his savings into her wagon.
I have not made a sketch for this drawing, I only made a figure and I detailed a little, I did not work with the grays either, only with the color, nothing was perfect since I had to fix and improve the proportions, but it is good to start mmmmmmm something that happened is I did everything in a single layer, including the cape, I should have fixed it later. πππ

Although I had everything on the same layer, the truth is I didn't care about it so I just went on and on detailing things a little more, as I progressed I made several adjustments to the body because it seemed to me that it was a little bigger than it should be. I also made an idea in this step where the arms were going to be oh and the skin also improved a little.

In addition to improving some things, it was time to separate things and for that what I did was paint everything that was not the black body which would help me identify the subject, that is what one of the selection tools does in Ps and what I had to do most was make it contrast enough so that it could be selected well although in certain parts I had to improve the selection because it had been overdone, after that I could duplicate and eliminate the previous layer and thus I should have 2 layers: the cape and the body.

I kept changing some things that seemed wrong to me, I also had to add the background, for which I didn't complicate my life so much with it but I added something, to add the same cape that I had before, only duplicated the layer and deleted the body of the girl, I only have the cape left. In addition to that, I already had great progress in terms of arms, breasts and so on, but I hadn't focused much on the face. π π π

As for the progress, they were only small because I was only detailing and cleaning things up a little more. In addition to that, what would be a big change was the position of the face. The truth is that in the end I didn't like how it was, so I changed it although I had worked on it later I decided to try something else and that convinced me more.

I have made a small change to the original character's costume, but to not go too far from everything, I have placed a somewhat transparent fabric so that the girl would not show too much skin ahaha. I have added some lights and improved the cape, until that step almost nothing was missing only the characteristic power of this character. π‘
