Welp... The initial Bring me the nominees post did not result in much success. So today we are back to the usual format. Today's New Steemians were chosen while my son enjoyed a little Ice Hockey practice. I was fortunate to have the warm overlook seat and tethered up to my phone hot spot for some secure internet.
Today I found myself trailing @theaustrianguy a LOT. Like every post I opened from my query, he had already been there! I also find that my full upvote is suddenly worth over $3.00. It doesn't look like I have received any new delegations, so I think this is just a reflection of the current STEEM market. Anyway, new folks, enjoy it!

Today's 5 New Steemians you should get to know include a minecrafter who interviews themselves, A doctor who will endeavor to put you to sleep, A two day old Steemian who almost made the list previously, and came back around for a second look, A Professor by day, who is a creative mind outside of work, and a firm believer in a decentralized world who wants to share her crypto knowledge gained in two years as a crypto entrepreneur.
So Let's get to it!
Our first New Steemian of the day Says Hello There! Joel comes to us with one of his game tags, @carn as his new Steemian name. He currently resides in Florida, but has previously spent time in Ghana, and has read 169 (Nice!) books so far this year. He is a programmer, 3d modeller, and gamer. Joel introduces himself to us with a self given interview. Make sure to head over to his Blog and check it out!
Next up, Does anyone need a doctor? If so, meet KT, who goes by @ktchan. He introduces himself in Hello all, my first post on Steemit!. Remember howI said we would meet a doctor who would put you to sleep. Well KT is looking to embark on a career in Anesthesia, so if he does his job well, you'll never feel a thing! He grew up in Hong Kong, move to Singapore, and is now studying in Scotland. He'll be sharing some medical thoughts, but expects to mostly be posting lots of pictures of food and coffee.
Pulling into the third spot this week is @mimi002 Who shares her second Introduction. When the query fed me Mimi's post today I did a double take, I could have sworn I had seen her before. And when I went back and looked, I had! Mimi was ALMOST on my last two days ago, but I decided her first intro post was a little to short compared to some of the others I was seeing. She's made up for it by opening up a bit more of herself in this post. Among her interests are singing, dancing and cooking. She is a student of economics at the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria. She has also been a Brand Ambassador as well as a media personality, which allow her to meet all sorts of different people. Be one of those people she gets to meet by heading over to her blog to say hi!
@creative.mind is the next introduction we will be visiting today in Creativity is a manifestation. Sayak is:
a professor by profession and creative artist, photographer, designer and doodler by passion.
Sayak asserts that "it is a myth that you have to be an artist to be a designer, but it's true that you need to have an artistic sense to create masterpieces." I believe here we have a new slothicorn to add the to fold. Please make sure he feels welcome to the community!!
Finally today, let's meet @sarahkl, who comes to us from Germany. Sarah believes in living with Decentralization as a Lifestyle. She dropped out of university from boredom, and has been working as an entrepreneur in the Crypto space since early 2016. She believes in a life that is self determined, independent from people we don't want to be related to and free like the eagle. She wants to share with us what she has learned in crypto, in hopes we find something useful from it.
