¿Ondacetron or acurewa?
I am a university student, and I was also an oncology patient while I was in my 6th semester, my condition at that time was as follows:
Luckily I had the help of my doctor and his wife, two angels who guided me through the process, she with a plan for nutrition and he with the cheapest acquisition of the medicines I needed.
As part of my treatment, I was prescribed ondacetron medication that is regularly prescribed to patients treated with chemotherapies, this medication helps to inhibit the action of serotonin, a natural neurotransmitter that when affected can cause nausea and vomiting.
In my case, it did not help me and my symptoms worsened with its use; A cousin told me about acurewa and how preparing it in tea, he gave it to his father who was dying of cancer, it turns out that the days I gave him this tea, he felt better and could eat even a little.
Looking for more information about the plant, I could see that its benefits were endless, and it was being used to help with multiple diseases.
Having this information, I set out to make some tea, but this was not working, it helped me in a very minimal way, and the calming effect was short-lived. So I decided to make some desserts (my specialty); I started experimenting with cookies and although I achieved what I wanted, which was to calm the pains and nausea, I hated the strong taste of the acurewa, and so I came up with the brilliant idea of making brownies...
I saw a million recipes on the internet, one more complicated than the other, so I started improvising and trying until I found the recipe I bring you today with which I will participate this week on "Hive top chef!"

Acurewa Brownie's

- 1 cup of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 125g of butter
- 200gr of chocolate at 70%.
- 3 eggs
- 5gr of acurewa flower
- 5gr of leaves and acurewa remains (optional)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
Preparation of the acurewa:
For these brownies we must prepare the acurewa before joining it to the mix so it takes a previous process of baking.
In a mode we put butter and the acurewa flowers directly into the oven for at least 10 minutes at medium heat, taking care not to burn them.
In a container placed in a bain-marie, let the butter melt, when it is completely liquid, mix it with the leaves and let it cook for 10 minutes.
This part works better when @joseacabrerav play
Once the acurewa butter is ready, we place the chocolate in pieces next to it so that it melts little by little while we move it until it becomes a homogeneous mixture;
And we proceed to gather the flowers that were in the oven during this time.
Preparation of the mixture:
This is the easiest step yet, since the brownie is a pretty simple cake.
Start by beating the eggs with the sugar until they are well joined, then add the vanilla and gradually incorporate all the powders (flour, cocoa, cinnamon, bicarbonate and baking powder).
Once everything is well mixed, it's time to add the melted chocolate.
The next step is to grease and flour the moulds to pour the mixture and bake for 20 minutes at 180C°.
After baking it is left to rest on the trays until they are cold, and can be chopped. With these measures take out 12 portions of 5x4cm.
