A lovely chocolate recipe

Hi everybody!

During this quarantine we need something that brings us up and we all know that the best remedy for sadness lies in the magic of chocolate.
Every child is fond of it, but I am sure that even many adults cannot live without it! I wanted to take this excellent initiative from @qurator and participate in the contest Hive Top Chef to share with you this tasty recipe!

Melted heart chocolate cake

Ingredients (for 8 melted heart cake)

  • 200gr dark chocolate

  • 170gr butter

  • 140gr sugar

  • 40gr 00flour (plain flour)

  • 4 eggs

  • butter

  • cacao powder

We also need 8 aluminum backing cups...

Let's start melting chocolate and butter. I used to do that with bain marie method (Consists of placing a container like pan, bowl, etc… of food in a large, shallow pan of warm water, which surrounds the food with gentle heat) but I think it's ok to avoid this step using microwave if you want. (I really don't like to use it, it seems less delicate and quite not satisfying while cooking)

Now that we have our shining melted chocolate and butter, add sugar, mix it, and than set aside to cool before adding the eggs, once at a time.

Fourth step, add the sifted flour and beat the mixture until smooth and well combined.

Grease the aluminum baking cups and dust them with cocoa powder. Make sure to grease and dust every little part of the cup, we don't wont our little cake to get stuck in it when we take it out.

Pour the mixture in the cups (¾ of the cup) and let them rest in the freezer for at least 1 hour (or more, we can conserve our cakes there for several days, and bake them when we need to, that's why I call them the delicious emergency cakes…)

Now the hardest part...
How to cook them in the right way!

Preheat a fan-assisted oven at 200°C and bake for 12/15 minutes. (it depends on ovens in reality, mine took 15 minutes).
Well, the important thing is to make sure the edges are firm, but the center still a little bit soft.

At this point, once you think they are ready, invert them into plates. Serve them immediately with ice-cream, barriers or just sprinkled powder sugar…
