Hello Steemitverse!
Obviously, food and photography are mostly the things that I always showcase here, though I am no expert with these. As far as I love holding the #worldsdailyfood contest, it is also fun to join with other #food contest / challenge.
So, this time I would like to participate in @qurator’s Tasty Tuesday #62.
This recipe was cooked out of the available ingredients in my kitchen. Actually it has no name since I just “invented” this food 😂😂 for my daugther as her lunch that I am going to bring in her school at lunch time.
I named this dish as “Spicy Seafood Trio”, composed of the three main ingredients: “fish, mussel & shrimp”.
And to start, here are the ingredients:
• 250 grams of jack mackerel,
• 2/3 cup of mussel,
• 10 pieces small shrimp,
• 3 tablespoon butter,
• 6 large clove garlic,
• thin sliced half medium onion,
• 2 large ripe tomatoes,
• chili flakes
• coriander powder,
• ground pepper,
• salt.
I already minced the six glove garlic, deboned and cut the fish into bite size. As you can see, the butter was already melted and the garlic on it. I choose to toss the fish first, aside from longer in cooking time, sauting it in lots of garlic will reduce the strong fishy smell and taste.
Added by thin sliced of half medium onion to complete the flavors of sauting.
Followed by the two fresh tomatoes which I pre-cooked in boiling water to give a boost of flavor, which will serve as the natural sauce in this dish.
When tomatoes are starting to merge, that’s the time I put the mussels, removed from the shells. About 2/3 cup. (also pre-cook in ginger and rice water.)
Mixed with black ground pepper, salt, powdered coriander and my homemade chili flakes. I just estimate each spices.
When everything blends in together, the last ingredient to be added is shrimp, because it will just take a minute to cook. The head was removed and shells are peeled off, I also sliced each shrimp in half lengthwise to look plenty.
Mix a bit and bring to boil for once and it’s done!
Cooking time was just 12 minutes with all the prepared ingredients.
Plating time! For #food #photography purposes. 😂 Ofcourse I must taste it first to know if it will pass in my daugther’s picky palate. 😅
I must say, the taste is really good! 😋
Similar to Spicy Gambas with tomato, the fish, mussel and shrimp compliments one another.
I prefer to topped it in a cup of hot white rice. Tasty! 👌🏼😋
