In most role-playing games, whether they be based in a high fantasy, dystopian alternate timeline, or galaxy-spanning future, players get to choose between various races. These races each come with their own “racial bonuses”, because someone with hard reptilian scales is going to be less affected by attacks than someone with soft human skin, elves have night-vision, orcs aren’t that intelligent, etc.
We’re going to assume that if you’re reading this book, you are most likely a human, so if that’s not the case we do apologize in advance. The thing is, those various RPGs that you’ve played are so minuscule & limited compared to the game of Real Life, and this area is no different. In Real Life, there are a variety of things that lead to the inherent bonuses someone is born with. From the modern science of epigenetics studying the way that our environments affect our genetics (the code containing your character’s starting attributes, skill bonuses, etc.) to the ancient science of astrology studying the way that our cosmic environment affects our tendencies & life-paths… one could spend their whole play-through just learning about this behind-the-scenes functionality of the game.
As with most everything else in Real Life, the most effective way to use this knowledge is by zooming out and observing the patterns, so let’s dive into a few archetypal systems applicable to 21st century Human Earthlings: The Big 5 personality, the 12 Jungian, the Enneagram, Human Design, Myers-Briggs, Western Astrology, Chinese Astrology, and Vedic Astrology.

Here's where you come in!
Alright folks, here's the part where I open it up, and any of you who feel called to help explain one of these archetypal systems (or introduce me to another) get to step up. I'm looking to make the archetypes as a whole into a few pages, so each system can have maybe 300-1000 words, though it would be nice to include some charts for most of them as well (that stuff may get thrown back in the appendix though).
If you want to do a write-up for any of these systems, you can feel free to leave it here as a comment, or to do your own post and put a link here as a comment. By submitting a piece you are giving permission for it to be used, in part or in whole, for this project with no expectation besides being credited. That said, all valid entries will be rewarded with @TribeSteemUp votes, based on quality. Anyone whose work is chosen for the book will receive a free copy of the book when it comes out, and will have a chance to work with the team moving forward to complete the project!
To learn more about the project so far, please check out The Status, Vision, and Needs of 'Real Life: The Role-Playing Game", the last BIG update I posted.
