This is a recipe for those who like something sweet and merry. Goes well as an aperitif, or instead of a desert.
In the summer period everyone is busy, picking harvest off of their land and gardens (if you have them). A lot of people have their own recipes for pickled vegetables or other fruit dishes they conserve. I will offer you a homemade alcoholic brew based on vodka.
We will need:
1 glass of berries (250 gr) (cherry, cranberry, rowan berries, raspberry and so on) – at the moment I have cherries ready
1 glass of sugar (250 gr)
1 glass of vodka (250 gr)
1 glass of drinking water (250 gr)

For making a whole jar, I multiplied the proportions by 4.
Put the water on heat and add the sugar to it. The sugar has to melt and the water has to boil. Then let the syrup cool. Add the berries, and pout into a glass container (I’m using a jar), at the end, add the vodka.

By the way, instead of vodka I’m using hooch that’s been conserved for over 15 years (15 years ago my dad left it in the cellar and I only found it now. It hasn’t lost its strength – I’ve checked)
Now, let our liquor rest for two weeks at the least, better if you leave it for a month in a dark place.
