From time immemorial, the convenant has been the basis of God’s relationship with man. The word tells us that God is faithful and that His faithfulness is everlasting (Psalms 119:90), therefore he desires to have a faithful relationship with His people on the ground of his covenant so as to secure all his tender mercies for those who love and fear Him.
Abraham was a blessed man. He heeded the call of God to leave his father land and his brethren to the promise land that God had prepared for him; he obeyed God by acting by his word. God promised to bless him with increase and greatness. He obeyed God by acting on his word. God blessed him according to his promise. This account reveals to us God’s faithfulness to his word. God cannot lie; for He is not a man that he should lie or the son of man that he should repent.
In Genesis 12:1-2, God promised to bless Abraham if he comes out of his country and his kindred to a place that he would show him that He would bless him and make him a blessing and make his name great
Beloved, just as Abraham believed God and he inherited the blessing so has everyone who has reposed faith in Christ, Abraham’s seed, inherited the blessing of increase and righteousness through faith in Him.
You have inherited the blessing of Abraham because you are a seed of Abraham
