R.E.M. is one of these bands I discovered in the early 90s when the whole world got to know of them. They started their band and releases their first production early 80s already, but got to world fame through their most successful albums "Out of Time" and "Automatic for the People", released in 1991 and 1992 respectively. R.E.M. is considered to be a pioneer in the alternative rock genre, with the first mainstream hit in 1987 with the song "The One I Love". After their great successes and subsequently some more and lesser succeses, the bands split up in 2011.
After a long time not listening to "Automatic for the Poeple" album, I recently re-discovered it. I can't say I know the repertoire of R.E.M. that well, but I do love this album! Such great songs!
