My Name Is ... D.

Yesterday was a day...a hard day!

October, 26. My wife's birthday. In this part of the world, Eastern Europe, the main religion is Orthodox Christianity. I am Orthodox Christian.

October 26, in the Orthodox Christian calendar is the day of Saint Demetrius, in Romanian Dumitru. My name is ... Dumitru! Not Dan, Dan was chosen by parents and friends because it's shorter and easier to use.

So my wife is born on the day of the Saint from whom I took my name. A beautiful coincidence.

A coincidence ... not always good for others!

Yes, that's right! Kids, relatives and friends ... those who want and come to congratulate us have to bring presents for two ... which is not always easy. However, nobody has hinted this until now. It's just my assumption.

Another coincidence

My name day ... well, it was two days. According to the Orthodox calendar, on October 26, is celebrated Saint Dimitrie from Thessaloniki, Greece and in October, 27 is celebrated Saint Dumitru the New, the protector of Bucharest. This saint was brought to Romania from Bulgaria.

Why do you think I've said all this story? Because here is, in my opinion, the second coincidence. It is, of course, a subjective opinion.
A saint is from Greece and the other comes from Bulgaria. I mean the two countries where I like to go to the sea. I like this coincidence!

Well, my name is ... D: Dumitru (Dimitrie) and everyone tells me Dan.

A long waiting for about 15 months

I got a gift from Steemit. On my name day! I got 60 reputation.

This reputation was my goal. I got very hard after 15 months of activity (that is, not even 15 months, I had two interruptions for about two months). From now on, advancing will be much harder, but it will be nice, I think.

Anyway, this made me great pleasure. The fact that it happened on an important day for me makes it even more valuable.

This is my post this Saturday, it's a bit short but I did not have much time. I was very busy preparing the little party of our day. Then was the party with children, relatives and friends, Saturday until late at night.

... we meet for over 30 years when we celebrate birthday and name day.

This is a suggestion, I know that many don’t want to give this information. In this case you can ignore this part.

At the same time, this challenge can provide a wealth of ideas and themes for posts. It's an open challenge, not focused on a single theme!
