The Ick Science Platform, The Rochester is the most advanced science research vessel ever built by the Ick. It's mission was to study the Ashia Minor sector of the Outer Systems and in particular the widespread phenomenon know as Dead Space. In these widespread areas any ships become trapped as all systems seem to stop working and rescue or communication with the trapped vessels is impossible. Many theories have been writen about the cause of these pockets of dead space from large magnetic fields to pollution caused by some ancient civilisation yet no answers have yet been found.
