Starship Winkler - Episode 47

NARRATOR: Today, we find the Captain performing critical maintenance involving sensitive equipment on the exterior of the ship.

CAPTAIN: Okay, one more good whack ought to fix it. (whack) Perfect! Mulgrew?
MULGREW: Yes, Captain?
CAPTAIN: Try closing the garage bay doors.
MULGREW: All right. Er, Captain?
CAPTAIN: Yes?
MULGREW: We can’t find the clicker.
CAPTAIN: Did you check up on the visor?
MULGREW: It’s not there. Remember the little clippy thingy broke?
CAPTAIN: No matter. I’ll do it from the keypad out here. (Close Encounters beeps) Uh, Mulgrew, it’s working. The garage bay door is closing. Uh, what was that sound?
MULGREW: That boingy sound?
CAPTAIN: Yes.
MULGREW: It sounded like a tether sever.
CAPTAIN: A what?
MULGREW: Check your tether.
CAPTAIN: My leather tether? Oh my, the garage door has severed my leather tether. I’m adrift in space!
MULGREW: Like a feather.
CAPTAIN: Shut up.

NARRATOR: Well, will the Captain be forever untethered? Will the crew get it together? Tune in next time when we hear…

CAPTAIN: All right, hold it together. I’m sure my crew is coming up with a rescue plan right now.
MULGREW: Hey, I found the clicker! It was in the glove box.
