Who joins for a short walk in Mönchsberg forest that skywards in the middle of Salzburg?
It was in the morning that we went to find Mönchsberg forest, and what a magnificent experience, all these stunning colors!!
The Mönchsberg extends a total length of 500 meters, along the left bank of the River Salzach to Mülln and it measures 508 m at its highest point.
It is a popular recreation area for locals or tourists, and it can be explored along various pathways. (wish I had the time to explore them all)
In that morning we had planned a visit to Mozart's birthplace and St Peter cemetery, but in between we went to Mönchsberg using its comfort lift :) (time saver!)
Up there we were delighted with all those different trees, shapes and colors.
I took "hundreds" of photos, I had to capture that type of nature which was so different from our in Portugal. I could imagine my self laying there for a power nap (if allowed!).
I was happy and in peace once again. Salzburg made me so well!!
