I keep being inspired by @erikah 's lovely challenge. And surprise, surprise there is a collaboration now between her curatorial challenge @sevendaysoutside and @photocircle! So, here it is, the doors in the street you go through when you walk the dog to the park. There are a couple of these doors in my town, hopefully I would take photos of others, too. They are made of wood and it is very specific turquoise color that they have. It is as if they are from the seaside but nope, they are from Danube side ;)
It is very interesting that all these big, carved old doors in Zemun, made of wood are very expensive to make, so most families leave them like this. I think it's a shame not to take better care od them, since making a replica is a very hard asignment.
These doors are on the house from the begininng of 19th century. I never got to see people who live inside, but once, the door was left open, and it was site worth waiting for. Lost times are captured behind them, all in flowers, with cats.
