Share My World: Navajo Loop Hike 10/10

Loved this hike! As I mentioned in my previous post about Bryce Canyon Sunset Queen's Garden Hike going down into the canyon is sooo much better then seeing it from the rim.

And going at sunrise was perfect. The light was beautiful and the weather was cool. We started at Sunset point, went through the awesome hoodoos and spires and came back up Wall Street. If you remember in Zion, we hiked to Wall street in the Narrows. Lots of high stone walls in this part of Southern Utah.

We started at 5:15am and finished the loop at the top of Wall street at 7:04am. It is a 1.3 mile loop and sources online say it takes 1.5 hours. As photographers we definitely go slower than the average person hiking.

This hike gets a 10/10

2Time on trial2 hours, I like short hikes with great views!

Wow a 10 out of 10. I am not surprised. I love the hike and even with the steep climb up Wall Street this was a perfect hike.

Now I will take you through the hike following the loop.

View from Sunset point

The great thing is that this trail was open. It is often closed.

Here are a few with the morning sun hitting the sand stone. And the paths going down the canyon.

According the a US Park Service Benchmark

Water and ice are the sculptors of Bryce Canyon's wonderland. Melting snow and torrential rain erode the softer stone and carry it downhill, leaving behind massive slabs of standing rock. Ice cracks this rock apart as it freezes and thaws, weathering it into fins and hoodoos that spark curiosity and imagination.

I had so much fun getting this shot! My first starburst picture! Yay for F/22!

Now we are at the bottom of the canyon.

The hike up Wall Street

It is nice there are some stairs to climb.

and a little hole to go through

The path back to sunset point

A couple of pictures from the rim at Sunset point.

Bryce Canyon is a stunning national park and a must see if you are in Southern Utah!
