Yesterday was one of my most magical day of my life, i still find it hard to believe it. Yes, being the ‘ place on earth’, Disneyland is one of the place that posses a power to make people feel like they are in a dream. Growing up as a true hardcore fan of disney movies, i couldnt deny that i was in a total excitement. It was even more exciting when they have just launched the latest addition from my favourite list to the theme park, the Toys Story Land section was just officiated last friday.
And the highlight of the section is;
the Rex Racer ride.
My brother @harythilmy and i wanted to try the ride, but according to the themed park’s official apps, the queue time for the ride was 210 minutes. Yes. 3 and a half hours. And to buy a fastpass to have a priority entrance cost 180 Yuan. As we dont have much option, we decided to miss it and enjoy the section with just a quick sketch of the place.
When we were sketching, without we even realize people were swarming behind us trying to watch us sketching.
Suddenly a lady in an official uniform with nametag and a walkie talkie came to us, said hi and told us to wait here for a moment because she said they have a surprise for us, so we did.
Few minutes later more of the official managers came to us and said thank you because sparking more excitement to the park. They brought along a badge and award us as the “Star Guest” of the day. 😅
We can barely believe what have just happened. Apparently the award was originally rewarded for the people who encourage people to do good deeds in the park to fight bad habit in China. You can read more about it here - Star Guest
Trying our luck, we asked if theres any specialty of being a Star Guest like skipping queues or special access to rides or whatsoever. They said, of course!
”Have you tried the all new Rex Racer ride? Come follow me!”
Our reaction was;

Then with a very cool and calm expression, we followed them gracefully entering the ride’s compound from a special door, passing all the super long queue line and get inside all the way to the front line.
Starstruck disbelieve faces. Lol
