Today I want to participate in the 5th monthly thumbnail competition for State of the Sndbox! Each Wednesday @sndbox does a newsletter - State of the Sndbox - to update the Steemit community on their progress and ongoing work. This monthly competition gives us an opportunity to showcase our creativity as the face of the newsletter. Winners will get big exposure and some nice rewards.
Inspiration
I was inspired with lot's of things. First of all I am really inspired with the team of professionals at @sndbox. Guys, you are really awesome and I am reading all your articles here! Look at these colors State of Sndbox have! They are inspiration itself!
Third thing inspired me was that I had an illustration with this relaxed guy which I've done about a year ago and though it would be nice to create something similar but rotate the pillow to make the shape of sandbox to it. And ofcourse I was interested to redraw this from scratch it a different manner.
Process
So I've started to draw a new guy. I've used myself as a references :) As usual I am drawing simple shapes with the hard brush in Photoshop first and then lock the transparency of that layers and draw inside with almost transparent brushes.
Then it was almost ready I've added some textures applying them with Sorf Light 50-70%.
