Hello and Welcome to a new Episode of my Fanart Series.

It's been a year since my last blog post and again the splinterlands fan art contest has managed to bring me back.

I cant imagine all the passion and the creative power behind this project and only now when creating this post do I realize how much I actually missed this contest and the community around it <3

Ok lets start the show!

Today we take a closer look at "Waka Spiritblade"

This is a "Promo" card from a coalition with "Waka Flocka Flame" and "Splinterlands". For those that don’t know "Waka Flock Flame" He is a rapper with a great social media presence and millions of followers.

Here is my interpretation of the "Waka Soulblade"

Because i like the original art of Waka so much i decided to not change anything about his character design except of his gold necklace which got a personal pendant;)

Time for a rough Illustration Process:

My first sketch i do is always very rough. It is only a rough guideline for me what shape and proportions my illustration will have.

Then i work on a clean sketch with some more details. This two steps makes it easy to finish a clean and detailed lineart.

Now it's time for adding the colour pallet, than shadows and at last step the very important highlights and effects.
