Sebastie(a)ns of Red Bull are dominating motorsport in 2017

Sebastian Vettel

Last weekend, Sebastian Vettel won the Australian GP. It was his first win since 2015. Before moving to Ferrari that year, Vettel had been a Red Bull junior driver right from his early days as a karting champion in his teenage years. He made it to Formula 3, Formula Renault 3.5 - all Red Bull sponsored teams - before heading to Formula 1. His first full time drive was Toro Rosso (Red Bull's second team - it means Red Bull in Italian) in F1, then Red Bull, where he won four driver's championship. Currently, he's de-facto in the lead of the driver's championship.

But he's not the only person with his name winning stuff!

Sebastien Ogier and Sebastien Loeb

Sebastien Ogier has been dominant in the World Rally Championship and nothing has changed this year. Though there's stiffer competition from Latvala, Ogier is still leading the championship. Yes, you guessed it, in a team sponsored by Red Bull!

Before Ogier, another Sebastien, Loeb, dominated the WRC scene. Together, the two Sebastiens have won every last one of the last thirteen championships! Oh, and Loeb was of course sponsored by Red Bull too! Indeed, he's one of the few non-F1 drivers to have driven a Red Bull F1 car.

Sebastien Bourdais

Like Vettel, Bourdais was a Red Bull young driver, and drove for Toro Rosso back in the late-2000s. He never quite gelled with Formula 1, but half a decade later, he has won the opening round of the 2017 IndyCar series and is currently leading the championship. He also one the 2017 24 Hours of Daytona earlier in the year.

Sebastien Buemi

Meanwhile, over in the high-tech Formula E series, we have another Sebastien leading the championship. Though he had a poor race yesterday in Mexico, he has been utterly dominant this season. Like Vettel and Bourdais, Buemi started his career as a Red Bull young driver, making it up the ranks into Formula 1. He was a Toro Rosso driver for a couple of seasons, but never quite made it to the top Red Bull team. Nevertheless, he's doing rather well in Formula E.
