In my post about easy conversions from one Bitmoney {AKA: coins, cryptos, smartmoney} type into another, I was a bit carefull about advising Shapeshift. Their pure conversion/ exchange service is intregrated into lot of wallets, like the one by CoinPayments. They support Steem conversions, which is great, but unfortunately no Steem (Backed) Dollar {SBD}. Yet, being intregrated in the Point Of Sales / Wallet app of CoinPayments is a big plus. But when I had two conversions failing on the same day, I became a bit more reserved towards the ShapeShift service.
Contacted them through the form on their website, filled out the Transaction ID (Hash) and Deposit Address and the rest they needed for information. And it all got fixed within a few hours, so kuddos to the support team of Shapeshift! Still awaiting one issue to be fixed and I do trust it to be done later today. (Because their part of the world is mostly still asleep.) Therefore Shapeshift dot IO is one in the list of good conversion exchanges, together with Blocktrades and Changelly. For those who do not want to trade but just convert their BitMoney, like Steem, into Bitcoin or Litecoin.

PS Apparantly some BitMoney related services like Litebit dot EU have reported DDOS attacks recently. It might be that others also are, or have been, under attack lately. It is good to know that they have excellent helpdesks to solve the challenges caused by things like these DDOS attacks quickly. All it takes is some patience and it will be resolved.
