In my last post Steem Advertising and Steem Private Messaging - My Predictions of What Will be Unveiled at Steemfest I made a couple predictions on some killer features I think will be unveiled at Steemfest.

What I forgot to include is a crucial feature with mechanisms already in the blockchain to implement.

Referral Rewards

One of the biggest issues currently with Steem is that there isn't much of an incentive to promote your articles outside of the Steemit community. If Steemit were to start rewarding people for recruiting new members there will be an obvious direct incentive to start screaming from every mountain top to COME AND JOIN STEEMIT!

After talking to a trusted block chain developer about it I was informed that there are already mechanisms currently built into to Steem to track referred signups. If this were to come to fruition we could see a whole new type of Steemit investor. The Affiliate Marketers risking their advertising budgets to sign-up new users and drive a demand for Steem / Steem Power.

I've got my fingers crossed that there will be some major news in the days to come!
