Took me a bit of time to decide if I would go, but in the end I have figured it out - there is really no reason not to go SteemFest! There are just about 5 more weeks until SteemFest in Amsterdam and I have just purchased my ticket for the event with some of the Steem Dollars that I have earned here on Steemit. The price of the ticket in SBD is 144, though I actually sent a bit more, but I'm going to be calculating the total cost of the whole thing in Euro, so this is considered as 111 Euro.
What is now left is to also book a room in the Volkshotel, there should be some still left in there I hope or find some other place nearby to stay, though I guess that Volkshotel will be the best option. The 3 day special price for booking a room in the hotel for the SteemFest is 285 Euro.
I have already checked the available flights to Amsterdam and booking a two way ticket to get me there in time for SteemFest and then bring me back home would cost me about 200 Euro (a bit less most likely). The flight to Amsterdam is a three hour one, so not that long trip actually.
All this is making the total cost for the SteemFest ticket, the 3-day stay in the Volkshotel and the Plane Tickets should come at about 600 Euro in total, plus something extra for transportation from/to the airport and of course some additional various expenses in Amsterdam, making the total of at least 700 Euro.
So I hope to see you on SteemFest in Amsterdam this November...
You can get more details about the event from the official acount on Steemit - @steemfest or from the official website of SteemFest here - http://steemfest.com/
Also anyone from Amsterdam can share some info about Taxi fares as well as how is Uber as a means for transportation in the city?
