Today I have booked a room in the Volkshotel, taking advantage of the 3-day special price package for the SteemFest and if you still haven't done so you might want to hurry a bit. There is no requirement to stay in the Volkshotel, though if you want to you might want to book a room before October 12th (this Wednesday). After 12th any of the remaining rooms will be available on the open market and you might not be able to get a room booked in the Volkshotel. Since today I reserved a room and got a confirmation, there are still some rooms left and you might want to hurry, or alternatively you might want to also check for other places to stay if you are coming to SteemFest...
Another important thing that you might want to check if you are coming to the SteemFest in Amsterdam is the Official Travel Reimbursement Fund for SteemFest - @t-r-f. This is especially important for people that are going to be traveling longer distances to reach Amsterdam as with the help of the TRF you might be able to get some of your travel expenses covered. The Travel Reimbursement Fund for SteemFest could use some support as well as it is still not very big and thus may not be able to cover much of the travel expenses of users that will want to take advantage.
The only thing that is left for me to do in order to be ready for the SteemFest in Amsterdam is to actually book some plane tickets to get me to Amsterdam and then back home after SteemFest ends. I still need to check some options tomorrow, but I think I already found the optimal solution for my flight, so if I don't find something better tomorrow I will be booking the tickets and all that will be left is to wait for the time to hit the road to SteemFest...
If you still haven't heard about the upcoming SteemFest, then you need to fix that mistake by going to the official SteemFest account - @steemfest, or the official website of the event - steemfest.com. You would need to get a ticket for the conference, then book a place to stay and arrange your travel to Amsterdam, unless of course you are already based in Amsterdam.
