Don't be afraid to go all out. I have not been able to raise enough funds to go to Steemfest at all.
(In fact, I believe the system is less rewarding to those posts trying to raise funds for steemfest!!) I have been tracking my posts, like a crazy person, making theories based on loose, random information, just like the majority of you all here (admit it!) LOL. I won't go further, but I strongly believe that the drop in steem, and the lack of appropriations for rewards on steemfest posts seems real enough. But then again I am analyzing the analyzers...so who knows.

Tell you what, though, I DO have a couple screenshots that PROVE selecting "Power Up 100%" on your post rewards you a larger share of the steemy pie! :-) Behold:

Not only did I notice the boost in value as an incentive to choose 100% power up on my posts, but I noticed a downward trend on continued use of 50% / 50%. I do not have more screenshots for documentation, though...

Note the difference between my slice of the "life" pie and the "poetry" pie. I have spent most of my time, blogging in the pit, into my poetry posts, and it shows. I post about life less often, granted, but apparently I scored some limelight on "Regenerate" thanks to @thecryptofiend! :-) Thank you! :-)
The key note here is that for my poetry and life posts, I received roughly the same number of votes, but garnered drastically different payouts! Behold:
