TLDR;
People..... It. Is. About. To. Happen! SteemFest. Almost can't believe it... Actually within 1 week we'll be having the pre-drinks in the Volkshotel already in full-effect!
This will be the last weekly update as next week I won't have time for it. There will follow some announcement posts via the @steemfest account, so be sure to follow that.
Without further ado... This is what I did last "week":
- Helped out @good-karma a bit finalising the SteemFest mobile app. Heck, even
pushedandpulledsome code and got acquainted with the Ionic framework a bit. Check out the result at http://steemfest.com/app - Finally laid the egg of the SteemFest timetable.
- Lots of back & forth with @cass to finalise the Program / Map of Amsterdam to hand out, but it's at the printer now, and yeah of course we already discovered some typo's :D
- Wrote and tested the code for the 1000 SP issuer script and got it reviewed by @xeroc. He gave some useful pointers.
- Did quite a load of back & forth mailing & calling with locations, the hotel and service providers (canal boat company).
- Ordered some SIM cards for attendees who opted for the Sim Card Delivery Service (if you want to use it, i bought 3 cards extra, so follow the instructions on the link)
- Received a gazillion of packages, printed stuff, flags, floormats, camera's, a food processor for @allasyummyfood workshop
- Talked through with my dad & brother who will be baking family recipe dutch pancakes during SteemFest Sunday's "Red Light Mashup".
- Went on an appointment with the Old Church and explained Steem, SteemFest and made a deal so we can also visit the Old Church itself during SteemFest Sunday.
- Ordered the prints for #ArtAtSteemFest and made 'catalogues' and ordered those as well.
- Continued my appeal for the Visa rejection of @infovore. Re-faxed all documents to an Appeal office, re-emailed everything, called the embassy in Nigeria (Lagos) again, but it seems stuck in bureaucratic crappers. Really annoying as I tend to want have everything fixed by calling and this really feels like a wall or a door smacked into your face. I really want him to be in Amsterdam next week,... so if anyone has political powers / cords we can pull please let me know!
