@steemitblog announced the awaited Escrow feature today, here's how you make sure to find a (more or less) trustworthy 3rd Party.

Find an Escrow

• Join #escrow on https://steemit.chat/channel/escrow

Verify an Escrow

• Ask them to proof their chat <> Steem link by posting a comment

after that:

• Ask for a Bitrated Profile, make them Proof they own it via GPG or Twitter/whatever is linked.
  Example (me) https://www.bitrated.com/fav you should ask me to sign something via my PGP Key and/or tweet something.

• Ask for PGP verification
  Example (me): https://keybase.io/fav

Optional

Ask for other ways for Proof of Trust:

• Admin/Mod somewhere?
• Reputable Site?
